Shakti Rising (Navratri) Sadhana

Daily mantra practice with the nine forms of Durga. 10–20 October, live on Zoom.

On the New Moon of Saturday 10 October, we begin Shakti Rising, an 11-day Kundalini Yoga mantra Sadhana that continues through Navratri, the nine nights dedicated to Devi, the Divine Mother.

Navratri honours Shakti, the creative power that gives life to everything in existence. One of its central stories tells of the Goddess Durga, who battles the demon Mahishasura for nine nights before defeating him. Each night of the festival is dedicated to one of her nine forms, the Navadurga. They range from Shailaputri, who represents stability and devotion, to Kalaratri, the fierce form of the Goddess who destroys ignorance.

Every morning we practise together with Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundaye Vichche, a mantra dedicated to the fierce power of the Goddess. Over the course of the Sadhana we explore the nine forms of Durga and their spiritual significance.

The question we carry through these eleven days:

What are you ready to stop giving your energy to?
